Dear Bill,
I hope you are well and in perfect health. I always pray to the Almighty God for your continued health and vitality.
Now that Ramadan has ended, as well as the Nowruz holidays and the Congress 60 holidays—which in total lasted nearly 17 days—I wanted to update you. During these holidays, individuals who are in their first journey (early stages of recovery) or undergoing treatment with OT syrup received about 4 weeks' worth of their OT supply from the clinics all at once. Throughout this holiday period, any contact between individuals and their guides was completely forbidden, and they were not allowed to meet each other.
One might assume that with such a long holiday and so much medication on hand, many would lose control and be unable to manage their medication properly. But I was always confident that no negative events would occur, and today, this has become completely normal for us. After the holidays, we have not seen any significant dropouts, which is quite remarkable. Interestingly, our holidays happen twice a year — once now, and again at the end of summer for another two weeks. We also have an annual camp for one week where most of the officials and guides participate.
Dear Bill,
As you know very well, giving a person under treatment such a large amount of medication and leaving them unsupervised for 20 days seems completely illogical and goes against all the theories that addiction specialists propose. However, within Congress 60 and the DST method, this is considered a simple and normal procedure.
So, the question arises:
Why is it that in Congress 60 we are able to do this successfully, while in other methods it is not possible?
I have tried very hard to find an analogy to explain it!
I liken the relationship between an addict and their substance (drugs or alcohol) to the relationship between a car and its fuel.
In truth, for an addict or alcoholic, their primary "fuel" is drugs or alcohol. Without this fuel, moving forward in life becomes extremely difficult. However, if a method can provide an alternative "fuel" — that is, a substitute medication with precisely calculated doses — the individual quickly submits to the method.
Since in Congress 60, the replacement operation is calculated with precision and the individual is given exact amounts, they readily surrender to the DST method and are able to continue their lives smoothly.
All that’s needed is a little basic education about how to properly use the medication, and this becomes the secret behind the success of the DST method and OT medication:
We can hand a person four weeks’ worth of medicine, leave them unsupervised, and trust that they will, with their own willpower, return to treatment and meetings after the holidays.
Because in other methods, this substitute fuel is not accurately provided, and the person cannot continue normal life. Instead, attempts are made to win the individual over through speeches and emotional persuasion — thus, they are trying to force the addict to submit to a made-up system.
This is why, in many places, they can't even leave an addicted individual unsupervised for a single day.
What I am trying to say is this:
Until we fully understand the physiological nature of addiction, we will not even be able to cure a single person completely.
Now, regarding the speeches on the Valleys:
I am very grateful for your comments and guidance. I have instructed that the translation of the Valleys into Spanish be prioritized.
It should be noted that some Valleys require only one session of explanation, but for others, such as Valley 14 (the Valley of Love and Compassion), I have delivered 12 sessions of speeches.
In total, the lectures on the 14 Valleys have amounted to nearly 50 sessions.
So, I believe we have two options:
We can start now and release one session each week to the audience, similar to TV series.
Or we can wait until the lectures on all 14 Valleys are complete and then release them all at once.
These 14 Valleys could form the foundation for an introductory worldview course, and after that, we could draw upon other worldview topics.
I estimate I have close to 700 lecture texts, and about 150 of them are specifically worldview topics by Amin, covering various issues like smoking, exercise, obesity, family etiquette, and many other subjects.
Your opinion is extremely valuable to me.
Also, I am eagerly awaiting your research articles. I was very happy to hear your explanations about your paper, because your findings are clearly based on solid scientific truth and your vast experience. I am truly delighted and grateful that you are presenting the DST method and the practices of Congress 60 to the scientific world.
Together, may we open a great highway towards the definitive treatment of addiction.
Please send my regards to Mrs. Rita and all the other dear ones.
Your eternal friend and brother, on Earth and in Heaven,
Hossein
