A Conversation with the Dideban (Watcher) of Worldview, Mr. Amin Dezhakam
Our Sufferings Are Our Treasures
On the occasion of Dideban’s Week, the Roudaki Branch had the honor of hosting the respected Dideban of Congress 60, the Dideban of Education and Worldview, the Dideban of Male Companions, and Nationwide Camps, Arboriculture, Music, Master Amin Dezhakam. For this reason, the Companions' section arranged an interview so that we can learn the lesson of love and affection from their gracious presence, which is now presented for your loving attention.
Interviewer: First of all, I would like to congratulate you and all the respected Didebans of Congress 60 on Dideban’s Week and I am very happy to be in your presence today.
Considering that you serve in various majors (music, tree-planting, camps, etc.), please tell us, how do these three parameters help the worldview of a Companion or a Traveler?
Master Amin: My experience with the tree planting camps has been that both travelers and companions have a great time at tree planting camps and it makes it a special experience and day for them; they remember it, and I myself experience also this energy and sensation in the tree planting camp. This truth indicates that something is happening there. For example, you have a special energy when you are in a Legion or when you are serving. When a program like a tree planting camp creates such a sensation, it means there is something special going on there, a series of knots [complexes] are untied there and energies are released; therefore, it can certainly play a significant role in changing our feelings, and it definitely affects our worldview. Because we perceive, receive, interpret, and feel whatever exists in the universe, and when it affects our feelings, it also affects our worldview. As for other activities like music, you should ask those who are in the music Legion. My experience with the music Legion, which had a performance at the Celebration of the Base of Congress 60’s [Mr. Hossein Dezhakam’s] liberation from addiction, was one of those Congress 60’s juices that had a very different and special feeling. The day of the music performance was like the time I succeeded in my comprehensive university exams; the energy it gave me was so great. So, it can have a great impact on one's worldview. These are generally the "juices" of Congress 60. If someone has the conditions for it, I suggest not to miss this opportunity, of course, some may not have the conditions, and they can come every now and then.
Interviewer: As the Dideban of Worldview, what is your criterion for measuring a person's level of worldview? What is your perspective on the concept of worldview in Congress 60?
Master Amin: If I were to give a simple example: the ratio between the length of one's arm and the length of one's tongue. The length of the arm means how much work you can do with your. Or, it can be said: the ratio of one’s character to one’s abilities; if you have good abilities, and have a good character, it means you have learned worldview properly. This is a good criterion to say that a person's worldview is good; but if I want to speak more simply and more about the topic, the fourteenth valley is the basis of our evaluation [of a person’s level of worldview]. Valley 14 contains forgiveness, love and the Opposites [negative forces]. That is, the first sermon of the 14 valley, is about self-control in the face of the Opposites, the second sermon is about forgiveness which means donating the juice of one's life for others and the third sermon is about the Chains of Love, which refers to a human being's absence of grudges. These are signs and criteria, and the valley of love shows how much you have learned worldview. In my opinion, the fourteenth valley can be the main criterion for measuring the worldview.
Interviewer: Considering that worldview is one of the main factors for the growth of Congress 60, how can this potential be utilized for the further growth of Congress 60?
Master Amin: Today, a good thing has happened in Congress 60 and everyone is doing their homework (transcribing educational CDs). This writing might seem unpleasant at first, but now, this writing is the highest [opportunity] and one of the conditions that transfers the knowledge of worldview to individuals. I recommend transcribing the CDs calmly. Some write very quickly just to get it done. I’m not saying that’s bad, it's much better than not writing at all. But writing slowly, writing with different colors, when transcribing is finished, re-reading the CD and taking notes, this is one of the things that has happened; but, the potential of worldview does not actualize except through serving. In my opinion, defining the positions of service in Congress 60 means that they can use what they have been taught, and this worldview is practical, meaning that we can implement the teachings we have received in our life. Proper services, balanced services, and rules that manage these services well, are one of the things that can activate the potential of our worldview. Asymmetrical services, for example, where one person has ten service positions but another has none, this is not proper; the balance is not established here, where one person does different services, while others have no services to do. These things cause us to lose our worldview potential. Therefore, in my opinion, symmetrical and balanced services with the right rules can activate our worldview potential.
Interviewer: How can I find out which knot in me is causing my bad mood? How can I find the cause of my confusion so that I can take steps to fix it?
Master Amin: To see yourself, you need a mirror. Without a mirror, we cannot see the spots. Our mirror is the people around us. We said in the CD: We humans instill what is inside us; if you look carefully at the people around you, they are your mirrors, they can tell you what is wrong with your actions, where your problem lies. They want to joke, they don't include you in the game; they want to study, they don't call you; but when they want to fool around, they call you. This means that you are a ridiculous person, not suitable for studying; if you are around, you will take us away from studying, so by looking at people, we realize these things.
Interviewer: How do we measure the extent of our growth and improvement for ourselves? In other words, how far can we grow and change?
Master Amin: As far as we have suffered. I have said before: your sufferings are your treasures. So, we have a potential, it says: we have oil in this land; how long can we extract oil? As long as there is oil, when the oil runs out, we can no longer extract it. That oil is the suffering you have experienced in life. Now, can you extract the oil? We don't have the knowledge of it, we don't have the technology, we can only extract 20% of this oil, then it is another matter; so, the knowledge of worldview, refinement, cultivation and etc, gives us the ability to release 100% of the potential that exists within us. But we cannot go beyond that. So, the hardships that humans endure, are the same difficult experiences that we have endured, we have endured bitterness, we were born into a consumer family (addicted family), we have suffered a lot of deprivation, you have had a drug consumer spouse, and now you have been able to become a Guide, you can be a very good Guide, or you can become a bad Guide. Being a good or bad guide is determined by how much you use the worldview. However, you cannot become a cigarette guide; because you have not had the experience of smoking; therefore, if you want to become a Guide for smoking cure, you are not suitable for this task [because you have not experienced the darkness of cigarettes smoking]; so, there are two issues: first, how high is the ceiling of (our knowledge and experience)? To the extent that we have suffered, and second, how can we achieve it? With the knowledge of worldview.
Interviewer: If you were to give a message to the next generation of Congress 60, Generation Z and Generation Alpha, what would that message be? And does the worldview education need an update for this generation, or is it designed in a way that is responsive to all ages and all generations?
Master Amin: Worldview is constantly growing. Mr. Hossein Dezhakam [the Base of Congress 60] has taught us many things that perhaps did not exist five years ago, or he taught them five years ago, but today those topics are taught more deeply. Worldview is a science, and science is also dynamic. It might stop at a certain point, but it is in a state of growth. And if you pay attention, Mr. Dezhakam spoke about the topic of family and raising children. In my CD, "The Science of Living," I mentioned some points about raising children that did not exist before. Today, we are gradually entering these issues. I think that if worldview continues on its path, it will provide the necessary nourishment for the current conditions, provided that it remains on its correct path.
Interviewer: Thank you very much for the time you gave us and for answering our questions with great patience. I wish you and your respected family health and success.
