Congress 60 believes that “a cow that eats beggar’s bread will never plow the field.”

Communications of Hossein and Bill (Reply to Bill, November 11, 2025)

November 11, 2025

Dear Bill,

I hope you are doing very well and enjoying your daily walks along the ocean shore with Mrs. Rita.

I am doing well, busy managing daily plans and activities. Alongside the routine affairs and planning of Congress 60, we are also engaged in research and giving talks at various conferences about different diseases.

This week, we are celebrating Golrizan Week. You may remember that every year, for an entire week, the workshop sessions across all branches of Congress 60 focus on the Golrizan agenda. During this week, all members, according to their ability, donate money to the Congress 60 account. With these funds, we are able to purchase land or buildings for our branches in different cities.

You might also recall that the money collected from all branches is deposited into the main account of Congress 60. Each branch’s contribution is recorded under its own name. The central office deducts 20% of the total funds for Congress 60’s general expenses and keeps 80% in reserve for that specific branch or city. Therefore, each branch knows exactly how much money it has available.

Even other groups — such as the music group, the archery group, the women travelers, and others — each have a separate account. The money in these accounts is strictly designated for purchasing land, buildings, or paying rent.

The operational expenses of each branch are covered by the money collected in the donation baskets that circulate during every session. Each branch is required to deposit this collected money into the central office account every week. The central office then provides each branch with a petty cash fund, which their managers can use for daily expenses. Afterward, they must submit all invoices and receipts to the central office, which reimburses the amount spent through checks.

An important point is that if a branch lacks the funds to buy land or rent a building, the central office will not provide even a single cent. Every branch must become self-sufficient and capable of expanding its own activities. In other words, Congress 60 believes that “a cow that eats beggar’s bread will never plow the field.”

Finally, I should say that since Congress 60 began its work — aside from the very first year — we have never experienced even a single day without money for nearly 27 years now. I also established a rule in the second year that purchasing goods on credit, borrowing money, or issuing postdated checks is absolutely prohibited.

One more thing — during Golrizan Week, I always make my own contribution first as an example for others to follow. This year, if I convert my donation into U.S. dollars, it amounts to about $30000.

I apologize that I have written only about Golrizan in this letter.
Wishing you a strong and healthy body,
Your eternal friend and brother on earth and in heaven,
Hossein
