Thank you for the videos and photos from the International Congress on Addiction Science. I was impressed with the large turnout for the conference and the obvious intensity of interest of the audience. Please thank Shani again for her willingness and skill in presenting my paper. I look forward as well to reviewing your presentation.
Most new books published in the U.S. sell only a few hundred copies. That your books sell 80,000 to 100,000 copies a year is a remarkable achievement and a testament to their import. Like you, I have reinvested most of the income from my books to support other recovery-related projects. The only exception to that was my use of book royalties to support my daughter’s doctoral studies. That seemed a fitting investment in the future of my family and one that has provided a meaningful and contributing life for my daughter.
