In Congress 60, the Issue of Smoking Treatment Has Also Been Resolved Using the DST Method (Shirvan Branch)
The 14th session of the 8th round of private educational workshops for female travelers and companions at the Shirvan branch was held on Monday, May 27, 2024, at 11:30 AM. The session was led by traveler Fatemeh as the guest speaker, traveler Azam as the Master of Ceremony, and traveler Fatemeh as the Secretary, with the topic "Smoking."
Speaker's Words:
Hello friends, I am Fatemeh, a traveler.
First, I am grateful to God for giving me the opportunity to be here with you, dear friends. Today, our discussion topic is "Smoking." Many of us might think that smoking is not a big deal because cigarettes always available everywhere. Whenever we want, we can easily buy them; finding cigarettes is not difficult. Unlike drugs, which require certain conditions and you need to get to a dealer, cigarettes can be easily purchased from a convenience store. For this reason, smoking is often underestimated.
However, this issue is very important. The damage caused by smoking to the body might even be greater than that caused by opium, opium extract, and other narcotics. Personally, I was not aware of this information about smoking. I used to think that since I could easily buy and smoke cigarettes, it wouldn’t cause much harm.
We have all heard that cigarettes contain many toxins, damage the lungs, and cause various diseases, including cancer. If we pay attention, cigarette packs display images of a healthy lung and a smoker’s lung, showing the harm cigarettes can inflict on this vital organ. Basically, we may wonder, if cigarettes are harmful, why are they produced? But due to a lack of knowledge, we continue to smoke. Many people smoke a pack of cigarettes daily, either habitually or occasionally. However, those who join Congress 60 come to understand this issue and become aware of the destruction smoking causes.
Why do we have a session on smoking every year? Because if someone lacks knowledge about cigarettes and their harmful effects, they will gain awareness during this week. Just as our bodies naturally produce substances similar to morphine, they also generate a chemical similar to nicotine. However, natural nicotine-like is much purer and more refined. When I smoke, I turn this natural system into an abandoned factory, relying on external sources for what my body should produce on its own. Initially, smoking might seem pleasurable, but over time, it turns into a need. This happens because my body’s natural nicotine-like production shuts down due to cigarette use, and my body needs to use cigarettes again.
Nicotine withdrawal, unlike drug withdrawal, may not cause physical pain, but it significantly affects our mental state. A smoker who does not consume cigarettes experiences tension, anxiety, and irritability, which persist until they smoke again.
The key focus in Congress 60 is to treat smoking. No matter what type of cigarette I use, Congress 60 provides me with a legion and a guide to help me get the treatment. If I do not address this issue and try to hide my cigarette consumption, my treatment will remain incomplete. In other words, within my body, there is a "nicotine-like production factory" that has not yet started operating. This part of my body's system has been abandoned and remains undeveloped, which is why my recovery will not be complete.
In Congress 60, the issue of smoking cessation and treatment has been resolved using the DST method. This is the only effective approach to smoking treatment, by transitioning from inhaled nicotine to oral consumption and following the DST method over a period of 10 to 11 months, reducing intake in 21-day intervals.
In Congress 60, we have a dedicated legion for smoking cessation and treatment, and we should appreciate this opportunity.
