Hello friends, I am Behzad, a companion. The energy of the self and the energy of the body are two aspects of the hidden and visible parts of a person. To achieve balanced and sustainable weight loss, we need to pay attention to and understand both. I have gained insight into my body’s needs, such as daily requirements for essential nutrients, recognizing the deficiencies that need to be addressed. My daily intake includes salads, vegetables, proteins, local dairy products, and vitamins, which I consume with mindfulness and discipline. The energy of the self is based on three elements: light, sound, and sensation. Mr. Dezhakam’s goal is for me to identify the source and reason behind my overeating and weight gain—understanding which part of me is responsible for these tendencies.
For me, it involved both aspects: the negative images that would arise in my mind, and the thoughts I would dwell on, like worrying about potential negative events in the future. This often led to stress and anxiety, which drained my self's energy and affected my eating habits. Each person must reflect and identify where the flaw lies in the energy of their self.
In the Energy of the Self CD, Mr. Dezhakam explains that since the body, mind, and worldview influence each other, a balanced worldview alone cannot bring the body to a good state without the right physical inputs. Thus, maintaining a healthy worldview is crucial.
I used to think I should indulge in overeating, high-fat foods, sweets, and excess, and this was the worldview I had. But now, with Congress 60’s teachings, I tell myself that nutrition should come with minimal effort and cost. At what price do I want to experience a fleeting moment of pleasure? At the cost of illness, weight gain, lethargy, and a range of ailments?
I look at it now and see that it’s not worth it; it demands a high cost. Besides lowering my self-esteem all day and keeping me constantly preoccupied and distressed, the extra weight brought me nothing but a sense of unease and sorrow. For those who have reached an understanding of healthy nutrition, I’m sure they feel the same. So, it’s better to follow the command of reason.
