Hello friends, I am Asghar a traveler. Like always, I am thankful to God for being in Congress 60 and I am grateful to have the opportunity to use Mr. Dezhakam’s training. I hope we will have a fruitful meeting today and I have to thank those who have established this branch of Congress 60.
One may ask what the use of such an agenda is and how this agenda is relevant to addiction and drugs cure. If you carefully read the books written by Mr. Dezhakam, you will realize that the origins of all the anti-values whose prominent one is addiction, is our ignorance.
In the holy Quran, it is mentioned that the earth is a kindergarten, it is a school to attend and learn. But one of our significant deviations is that we forget for what reason we were born. All human beings from the prophets to ordinary people have come to this world so that they feel fine and enjoy the universe. But, [in the past] I thought that I could feel fine using opium and opium extract. That is why I experienced all types of drugs and I never felt well.
We have to know that our primary goals of coming to this world are to get training and then we have to serve. Sometimes, mistakenly, we suppose that joy is defined in any path except the right path. But all of us have experienced all these paths and we paid compensation for them and then we returned back [to the right path]. I was thinking at that time that how is it possible to enjoy life by serving people. At that time, I thought consuming drugs made me feel high, [but how could I feel high when my travel finishes and my addiction is cured?].
When I was in my first travel, I realized that the more I serve, the better I feel. Before my treatment, I consumed 40 grams of opium, opium extract and ice, even when I went to Mecca, I took some opium with myself. However, in my first travel, the lesser became my consumption, the better I felt. When I was in my first travel, we had one small branch in our city and now 16 branches are established there.
When my drug consumption decreased in the first travel, I felt much better and I understood that something else made me feel high [something other than drugs]. I realized that when I was serving in Congress 60, I felt far better. But we have to know how to serve. Sometimes we do seemingly good actions but originally these actions are betrayal. For instance, I had a brother and I constantly gave him money and I thought I was serving him but I made a sick man from him and I was betraying him.
In Congress 60, we learned that the first service is to serve ourselves. I have to take responsibility for my own life, because God has said that you are free to make your own decisions, and God told his prophet that you are NOT able to change people, you are only responsible for yourself.
From the very first day of Creation (called Alast), I was given the responsibility for my own life and they told me that the only one who can change you is yourself. If we are seeking a miracle and a person to come and save us, we are fully mistaken. God has created life for us and the three powers of inspiration, revivification and movement help us in this regard.
God has bestowed upon human beings the full authority over their life, God has set us free to do whatever we want but He told us whatever you do is your destiny. If someone hurts you, forgive him so that you will be forgiven. This is one of the laws of the universe, God will not forgive you, unless you forgive yourself.
When you forgive yourself, you must not go to the previous places you used to go. You must not [intentionally] meet your ex-friends [friends of your drug consumption era], you should even delete the phone number of drug dealers. If you do not forgive yourself, God will not forgive you either. Being merciful and forgiving [people] are two different things. When you forgive someone, you will not remember the harm you have incurred. I hope we will never be detached from Congress 60. Thank you very much for listening to me.
