Dear Hossein,
Thank you for these latest statistics on the DST and Newcomer Guide exams. This is helpful information that we will include in the updated profile of Congress 60 that we are preparing for publication. My congratulations to all of those who made it through this rigorous process and who will have the honor of serving as Guides for the coming months.
I spent two to three hours each morning this past week working on the profile article and am pleased with how it is coming together. I think the decision to split this into two articles is a good one and that a single article would have been too long to publish. This first article we are now working on completion will be the most detailed profile of Congress 60 to be published in a major journal. What you have provided through our email exchanges has been very helpful in filling out details within this profile and Ehsan has been very helpful in translating some material published in Persian to English so that I could include it in the review of past research on Congress 60. I think I now have copies of all the articles that have been published on Congress 60 and the use of OT in the treatment of addiction. Ann Ghent, a librarian at the Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation, has been very helpful to us in acquiring copies of all of these studies.
I hope to have a first draft of the manuscript for your review by the middle of July—the time that Dr. Sarapas and Candace have assured me work can return on our comparison of treatment statistics of Congress 60 and our U.S. sample.
In the meantime, do keep me updated on all of the activities within Congress 60.
