Dear Bill,
I hope you're doing well; I am doing well too.
I’m glad you were happy to see the photos of the university.
The work we are continuing with your help, based on the teachings of Congress 60, generally consists of two parts. One part is the visible aspect, which includes all the buildings and various infrastructures, such as the university building, summer camp facilities, and different branches.
However, in the hidden aspect, over the past 27 years, more than 80,000 people have achieved definitive addiction treatment. To my knowledge, this level of success with such quality cannot be found anywhere else globally. Furthermore, we have trained over 6,000 guides for travelers (addicts in recovery) and their companions. Each of these guides is truly a master craftsman who knows their work well.
Additionally, I have delivered 837 one-hour lectures on worldview and addiction treatment, and Amin has delivered 124 lectures. All these lectures are fully accessible in an application available to Congress 60 members and the public.
However, unless these numbers and achievements are published as articles in reputable scientific journals, they cannot hold much value. I want to emphasize that the work you, Dr. Sarapas, and your colleagues are doing is incredibly valuable to us and the global community.
Moreover, we have also focused extensively on addiction at the cellular and molecular levels through numerous articles. By analyzing blood samples, cerebrospinal fluid, and brain tissue, we have examined all the details and effects of addiction and its treatment. Your research perfectly complements ours, or rather, our research complements our joint efforts.
The correction of exam papers is ongoing, and we announce the names of those accepted in each branch weekly, based on priority and need. So far, results for 10 branches have been announced.
A significant experience we’ve gained—which I believe is not found in other NGOs and is not included in academic curricula—is having specific guides for newcomers. In exams, those scoring 16 or higher are designated as DST guides, while those scoring between 14 and 16 are announced as guides for newcomers.
Since the introduction of newcomer guides, the workload of DST guides has decreased, and the acceptance rate for individuals entering Congress 60 has improved. Importantly, in Congress 60, no one is allowed to give advice to newcomers except for the designated newcomer guides. Newcomers must meet only with these guides and must attend the special Newcomer Legion for three sessions before selecting their main guide.
In essence, the Newcomer Legion is somewhat like a preschool or preparatory school, as the newcomer guides prepare the recruits to join a main legion. During these three sessions, the newcomer is taught all the customs, etiquette, and regulations. We have gained significant experience in this area, greatly improving our efficiency and creating service opportunities for many eager individuals.
In the following years, if these newcomer guides pass their exams and become DST guides, they will undoubtedly be more experienced and capable.
For joint research, if you find it appropriate, I am fully ready to collaborate on one or more articles as needed. I am prepared to answer any number of questions required. If necessary, I can arrange for even a thousand documents in Persian to be translated into English and sent.
I have also asked Ehsan to share with me any questions and answers related to Congress 60’s statistics or sections before sending them to you or Dr. Sarapas so that I can review them and ensure we provide the most accurate responses.
I recently delivered a lecture in Maryland, USA, about preventing metastasis in breast cancer, and I will send you the certificate for that along with an article on DISP.
Please extend my warm regards to Ms. Rita, Dr. Sarapas, and your other colleagues.
I pray for a beautiful autumn season for you and hope the reconstruction of your city, neighborhood, and other areas progresses smoothly.
May youremain evergreen like the meadows, forever young and eternal.
Your eternal friend and brother on Earth and in the heavens.
Hossein
