A Report on Holding the 16th Addiction Science Congress

After the 14th and 15th International Congresses on Addiction Science were held virtually due to the Covid-19 Pandemic, the 16th edition of the Congress took place this year. It was focused on interdisciplinary approaches to recognize and intervene in addiction, and chaired by Dr. Mohammad Taqi Joghataei, Scientific Secretary, Dr. Reza Daneshmand, Executive Secretary, Mr. Behrouz Meshkini Tehrani, and Secretary of Retraining, Mrs. Dr. Noushin Ahmadi Rad, from September 29th to 31st, 1402 at the Razi International Conference Center of Iran University of Medical Sciences. This year's congress was another opportunity to gather and share the latest scientific findings and achievements for all those striving in this field, including the highest decision-making and responsible officials in governmental, non-governmental, and NGO organizations, academics, researchers, students, therapists, and self-help groups. Especially after reorganizing the congress, all its main and side components, such as inviting articles, hosting panels and symposiums, having keynote and invited speeches, conducting educational workshops, doing poster presentations, and more were provided.
