Wednesdays' Workshops: "The Fourteenth Valley and Its Effect on Me"

The full set of talks for the 14 Valleys (the audio recordings in which Mr. Dezhakam explains each valley) has now been translated into English.

Wednesdays' Workshops:

We begin this session by drawing strength from the Absolute Power, Allah.
Hello friends, I’m Hossein, a traveler and the guardian of this session. I kindly ask everyone to observe 14 seconds of silence so that so that we may seek refuge in Almighty God for liberation from our most powerful enemy—our own ignorance and unawareness. (14 seconds of silence)

Thank you, friends. I would like to ask the secretary to read the summary of the previous session and announce today’s agenda.
Hello friends, I’m Shahin, a companion. The second session of the 88th round of Congress 60’s worldview workshops for travelers and companions, with Mr. Hossein Dezhakam serving as the Master and Guardian of the session and myself, companion Shahin, as the secretary, began at 9:58 a.m. on Wednesday, 6 Esfand (February 25, 2026), the 7th day of the holy month of Ramadan.

Hello friends, I’m Hossein, a traveler. I hope you are all doing well. I’m doing well too, thank God. Today is the 6th of Esfand. The time is 10:06 in the morning, and we are in the Academy building in Tehran. The Master of today’s session is Amin. Because it is the holy month of Ramadan, Amin is conducting the sessions. There were a few small points that I needed to mention. So, I came to briefly remind you of them. After that, I will return to my other responsibilities, which are administrative matters, and Amin will continue the session and deliver the lesson.

One important point is about OT (Opium Tincture — the medication used in Congress 60 for addiction cure). As you can see, the country’s economic situation has changed a lot. For example, a tray of eggs used to cost about 150 thousand tomans, and now it costs around 450 thousand tomans. Many things have doubled, tripled, or even quadrupled in price. Naturally, OT cannot be an exception to this rule. We cannot expect everything to become more expensive while OT remains at three thousand tomans per cc. the situation around OT has become more difficult for us, which is quite natural. However, there are two important points. First, do not buy OT from herbal shops or unofficial places. Some people mix tea, methadone, and a small amount of OT together, some trashy mixture and sell it as OT. OT should only be obtained from clinics. Second, we have to adjust the price of OT ourselves. The clinics have always cooperated with us, but recently their cooperation had decreased. When we raised the price, their cooperation improved again. The clinics are not at fault. They also have rent, staff, and their own expenses. Just like us, they used to buy a tray of eggs for 150,000 tomans, and now they have to buy it for 450,000. There’s no difference. They face the same prices we do. Now, there are two groups of people. Those who are financially able should pay for their OT, even if the price goes up. It shouldn’t be a problem for them. But those who are not in a good financial situation should remember that their entire treatment in Congress 60 is free. They don’t pay for the doctor, the clinic, or even the lab tests. Nothing at all. They come to Congress and are given a seat and tea—and now during Ramadan they are even given iftar. What could be better than that? They even receive a free meal. For those who don’t have the money, Congress provides all of this, and it doesn’t take even a single rial. So, at least they should go and pay for their own medication. Before coming here, they were paying for heroin, methamphetamine, or opium. Now they can pay for their OT.

So, we need to increase the price of OT ourselves. Right now, clinics sell each cc (to non Congress 60 clients) for about 29 or 30 thousand tomans. Forr Congress 60 members, it was only 6 thousand tomans, but when we doubled it, the drop in supply was prevented. Now we want to set it at 15 thousand tomans. Even if one day it reaches 29 or 30 thousand tomans—although I’m not planning to raise it that high right now—or whatever price it becomes, people should not say, “Oh, it has become expensive.” Those who are not financially well off are only paying for their OT, while all the other services are free. So, they should be willing to do this. If we raise the price of OT, the clinics will welcome working with us. The product they want to sell to their clients at a higher price—we will supply it to them ourselves. In a way, we become their supplier. What could be better than that? Naturally they will say, “Alright, no problem.” But this requires cooperation. So, if we increase the price of OT, explain it to your pupils and make it clear to them that there is no problem with it. And if you ever need to obtain OT from the market, make sure you get it from reputable clinics. Do not buy it from herbal shops, because they mix all kinds of things in it—methadone, B2, lorazepam, diazepam, and other substances. Please make sure this is followed.
The second point: I have some good news to share. The full set of talks for the 14 Valleys (the audio recordings in which Mr. Dezhakam explains each valley) has now been translated into English. For this work, each recording was first transcribed into Persian, then carefully edited, and afterward translated into English. The English text was then turned into an audio version (using AI) through different methods until it became a clear and usable final version. All of this was done through the efforts of Shani (Mr. Dezhakam’s daughter). She is not currently a guide or an assistant in Congress 60, but she works behind the scenes on major projects. This project took several years, with many ups and downs before reaching the right quality. And of course, it wasn’t only her — one team led the project, and many others cooperated with them. In the upcoming sessions, I plan to invite Shani and properly thank her, as well as all the members who took part in the translation work. I call this “good news” because we have already spoken with William L. White, and these translated lectures of the 14 Valleys will be distributed across the United States. William White is going to share them with all the NGOs there, and we will also share them online so everyone can benefit from them. So, if you see Shani less active inside Congress 60 these days, it’s because she is working intensively behind the scenes. She is also managing our Instagram page and has brought it to a very high level, sometimes working on it until seven or eight in the evening. I wanted to share this with you today. In the next sessions, I will invite her and express our appreciation — both to her and to all those who worked on this translation project. It was a huge effort, and I hope we’ll be able to present these materials online very soon.
The book "Weight Loss" is also moving forward; we are now working on its third edition. First, the work that Shani did — translating the Valleys— will take Congress into a new stage on a global level. In the past, some similar groups would say things like, “We leave everything to God,” and so on. We don’t want to get into that discussion now. In their own place and time, those approaches were very helpful and helped many people. But now, a new perspective is being introduced into different societies. Since these teachings have been translated into English, they can now be used internationally. We are also planning, God willing, to begin working on a French translation. The second matter that will take Congress into another stage is the book, Weight Loss. This will bring another transformation to Congress. In other words, Congress will change in a new way, and in the future, it will take a very big step. Sometimes you will see that many people are drawn toward the weight loss program, and through it they are freed from many different illnesses. In this way, the health of society itself will change. This is the next point. I do not want to talk more about these things right now.
This year for Nowruz, I was thinking of not giving any holiday gifts. If I wanted to give 50,000‑, 100,000‑, or 200,000‑toman bills, I really couldn’t afford it. And giving 10,000 tomans doesn’t amount to much these days. So, I decided not to give anything. But the members said, “No, just give the 10,000‑toman bill. We’ve kept it every year—so give it this year as well.” The problem is that 10,000‑toman bills are hard to find now. Still, since it’s only symbolic, I said we would give it anyway. Of course, I’m not some kind of holy figure whose gift is considered blessed. They take it because they believe it brings blessings and they want to keep it as a souvenir. So, starting next Monday, the people who come for their Liberation will receive a Nowruz gift from me.
The next point is about the documents you submit. Whenever a form requires the Marzban’s stamp and signature, both of them are necessary. Recently, someone from the companions’ section brought in a form that only had the stamp. She said the Marzban told her a signature wasn’t needed. That’s not correct. If the form asks for both, then both must be there. Sometimes forms—like liberation forms—are brought in and the Marzbans are not aware of them. That shouldn’t happen. They must know who the person is before they stamp and sign. And who should sign? The duty Marzban, the one on shift. Some Marzbans hesitate because they think others might get upset if they sign. But that’s not an issue. The signature is specifically the responsibility of the duty Marzban, in both the women’s section and the men’s section.
About the clothes: in Congress 60 people used to wear white clothes. But recently some unnecessary talk and rumors started about it, so I said, for the time being, don’t wear white—let the talk die down. Now, however, some people come wearing dirty clothes, and that’s going to the other extreme. Those who are receiving their Liberation must wear a white shirt. The guide doesn’t matter, but the person receiving Liberation must wear a white, collared shirt, and it must be tucked into the pants. Some people have big stomachs and leave their shirts hanging out so it doesn’t show. A man should have his waist firmly fastened. In the old days, didn’t you see how men used to tighten their waist? The shirt should be tucked into the pants, the belt fastened firmly, and he should stand tall and receive his Liberation—not loose and sloppy.
Another point concerns language in places like Khuzestan—cities such as Abadan and Ahvaz—as well as Hidaj, Qeydar, and Tabriz, where some people either don’t know Persian or find it very difficult to speak. Someone in Ahvaz may be Arab and not speak Persian, and someone from Qeydar or Azerbaijan may be in the same situation. This is not a problem at all. I’ve said before that everyone should feel free to speak in the language they are comfortable with when they share their feelings, thoughts, and experiences. If someone wants to speak in Turkish, Arabic, or English, that is perfectly fine. Insisting that everyone must speak Persian in places like Abadan would only exclude many people. The book Crossing the Zone of Minus 60 Degrees has already been translated into Arabic and English, and it should be translated into many other languages as well. So, wherever people are, they should be able to share in their own language.
I have already explained about the month of Ramadan. Try to do something so that at least the cost of your own meals is covered, because prices have increased a lot. With God’s help, we have no problems, and God willing, everything will work out well. Amin will present the shawls to several Dideban Assistants, since he is the successor to the Base of Congress 60. I now hand the session over to Amin and take my leave.
