The 12th session of the 82nd round of Congress 60 workshops in the Academy branch of Congress 60 was administered on October 2nd, 2024 at 10 a.m. by Mr. Hossein Dezhakam as the guest speaker and Mr. Alireza as the secretary. The agenda was “The Role of CD Transcription in Congress 60 Members’ Education”.
Mr. Dezhakam’s speech:
Electronic cigarettes or vapes are extremely dangerous. I mean, you can use opium, or heroin, but don't use electronic cigarettes. They claim it’s 95% less harmful than cigarettes, but that’s a big lie and a disaster. Electronic cigarettes are a hundred times more dangerous than cigarettes.
The next point is about guides. When a guide cannot come to the Academy branch of Congress 60 to get his pupil’s liberation from addiction, they must provide a written authorization to another guide and stamp it, so they can take over. If they just verbally say, “You go in my place”, it undermines the respect and dignity of the guide. Unless the guide comes, we won’t grant Liberation Order to the traveler or the companion.
Another point: on Monday, December 30th, we had a meeting with the Didebans (Watchers) of Congress 60 (C14), and the following issues were approved after discussions:
1. All the Didebans of Congress 60 can have assistants to help them supervise different branches of Congress 60, because the Didebans themselves are too busy to observe the branches under their supervision.
2. All Congress parks must have independent Agents and Border Guards, and Mr. Ali Ashkezari, the Watcher of sports parks, will organize the matter.
3. From now on, newly established legions must start with at least two or three guides. Starting with just one guide isn’t feasible. Clinics with guides and legions, whose members hold Congress 60 cards, can participate in Border Guard elections.
4. A new agenda titled 'Female Travelers' was added to the weekly session list. Many women in families are consumers but hesitate to speak due to taboos, so this topic (challenge) needs to be considered and solved.
5. In the meeting, we changed some Didebans supervising some branches of Congress 60. Additionally, three assistants from female travelers participated in the session as guests.
Regarding CDs, if this was ten years ago, we couldn’t have the educational tools we have today. We used to record speeches on cassettes, which took a long time. Then CDs came along with their challenges until apps arrived, simultaneously, we have our website and Instagram. I discussed artificial intelligence some months ago and emphasized that Congress 60 members should all have and learn how to use this tool.
“A tree is known by its fruit”; we have raised very wise individuals during these years just because these people have been transcribing the Educational CDs. Mr. Amir Ghadiri, the agent of Dezhakam application, uploads the CDs on Sunday mornings. I thank and appreciate him for this. In the past, when we used CDs, each branch would have, for example, a thousand extra CDs. The educational CDs united and unified all the Congress 60 members, familiarized us with ourselves [made us know ourselves], and eliminated disagreements since we are all using the same source of information. If we had not the educational CDs, we wouldn’t have this great number of Pahlevans and donors [Pahlevans are those member of Congress 60 who donate more than 10000 dollars for the sake of Congress 60’s aims and objectives]. Financially, those who were struggling have significantly improved, thank God.
When you transcribe a CD, you focus solely on the content, which strengthens your memory, you record the information [in your brain], and I promise those who transcribe the CDs will not get Alzheimer's in the future. Concentration brings calmness because a busy mind thinks about everything. Transcribing CDs also expands vocabulary domain, and subconsciously members speak more politely. Even if some struggle with writing certain words, by transcribing CDs, they learn proper spelling. Our annual reading rate per person is one or two minutes, when people do not buy books, this shows there is a cultural decline. But transcribing CDs is like reading a book weekly; members’ handwriting has improved, and many have become literate. Congress 60 members can enter into different discussions, because they’ve reached full maturity and have great life knowledge. All the discussions provided in the CDs are applicable and practical. Congress 60 members receive the same information throughout the country, therefore, the texts learned in Tehran are the same as in Sarpol-e Zahab. All our texts are based on the holy Quran, and if we weren’t on the straight path, we wouldn’t have achieved progress in addiction cure. The holy Quran’s commands are not strange, they just ask us not to tell lie, not to corrupt, not to bear false witness.
We must strive for the journey of addiction cure to reach a result in ten months and seven to eight days. I think no NGOs like Congress 60 can stand on its own. In cities where members endeavored hard to establish a branch, their branch is now firmly established. I hope you put your knowledge into action and reach your desired result.
