Thank you for your latest communication. It is remarkable that Congress 60 has accomplished such achievements over the life of its existence without the support of outside funding. Such financial self-sufficiency is remarkable and another form of living proof of the recovery transformations that occur every day among those involved in Congress 60. I know of very few programs that have achieved such self-sufficiency. Completion of construction of the university will stand as a monument to all else that Congress 60 has achieved. Do continue to send me photos of the progress; my heart soars each time such photos arrive.
Thanks for your offer to translate the Guide exam questions. It would be my pleasure to review them. And once again I am in awe of the level of interest and motivation in those who seek to assume these service roles. Such service is one of the “magic ingredients” within Congress 60’s culture of addiction recovery. My best wishes to all who will be taking the exam on August 16th.
I am also glad to hear that your presentations and research studies continue to go well. I have finished most other projects so am now devoting myself to our latest collaboration. Progress is coming along good on the literature review and related write-up that will set the stage for our present study and I had a conference call with Drs. Sarapas and Mouton to discuss how to proceed with the data collection and analysis. They are preparing a table that we will use to present data from the Congress 60 and U.S. samples which I will send along to you with related questions when it is completed. I will also have a set of questions for you to update the Congress 60 history and treatment philosophy and methods after I have finished the literature review. Step by step we will move forward with this study and disseminating its results to the world.
Beyond work on our project, Rita and I are having an enjoyable summer. We have no travel plans for the summer so are spending a lot of time reading and watching documentaries and movies. My favorites include mystery novels and historical documentaries. Life is sweet and even sweeter in the prolonged fellowship with good friends and brothers like yourself.
