Hello friends, I am Hossein, a traveler.
Congratulations on the new solar year We just entered the 15th century. In the last year, we achieved many great successes in control and treatment of drug-dependency in our country. The number of Congress 60 members exceeded 125000, The Recovery and Treatment Centers exceeded 95 branches. We have now 27 centers for sports. The female travelers have their own building in Hidaj and in Tehran, they have their own building [called] Rose. We are also planning for female travelers’ building in Kerman. Building the framework of the University was carried out. It was very complex and demanding work. Many individuals did their best for building the University.
After Guidance-exam for travelers and companions, the number of newcomers guides and actual guides exceeded 1300-1400 individuals. It is roughly about 1400 individuals, I think. I have not the exact statistic, but we trained 800 guide-assistants also we have about 700 to 800 new-comers’ guides. Despite coronavirus pandemic, more than 5000 individuals were liberated from drug-dependency in Congress 60. All Congress 60 members endeavored [to build the university] and I congratulate them all: All guides, border-guards, and Sardar legion members, Donors, and Pahlevans. With their efforts, we achieved many critical successes. I hope, with our cooperation, we can significantly succeed in this year. As we built the framework of the university [of Congress 60], I hope we can establish various majors of study with the assistance of the Ministry of Science, so that this university will be an international one, with the help of the Ministry of Science and authorities. this university is to teach the Science of Addiction not only to our own country, but also to other countries.
You all see the letters between Mr. William (Bill) White and I, Mr. White is an eminent American scientist and great author in the realm of recovery. All our work in Iran is astonishing to them, you see what great points we have achieved. Recently, Dr. George Kolodner, an eminent American researcher has contacted me [via email], he is also seeking for applying the DST method in the United States, which is the most developed country.
We strongly claim that we have conquered the impregnable peak of [Addiction]. We also presented our articles in other sciences and medical sciences in the Medical Conferences. Congress 60 presented four articles on Leukemia, one in a conference in Istanbul, one in a conference in Dubai, one in a conference in Zurich, Switserland and the last article will be presented on April sixth, in the United States. I hope they will be published in the journals as soon as possible. I hope the article written by Ani (Dezhakam) on the genes will be soon published as well. We also presented some articles on Covid 19 in the United States I thank you all. I hope we can develop our educational realm in terms of treating [diseases] as well as fortifying the financial bases of Congress 60.
I have to thank all the governmental authorities, The Ministry of Interior has closely cooperated with us, specially, Drug Control Headquarters (DCHQ) highly conjoined us, the Demand Reduction section of (DCHQ) and its Secretary General, Dr. Momeni and the other members of which considerably cooperated with us. I hope all these cooperative works result in better achievements.
