 I am pleased to hear that you are well. My wife and I continue to isolate and we are scheduled to get our second COVID vaccine this week. We are hoping to not have the seven-hour wait in line that we had for our first shot.

It was an honor for me to write the preface to the new book. Since the new book contains several of the articles I have written on Congress 60, I would be happy to be a co-author on this book. Thank you for extending that invitation.  And of course I would expect no compensation of any kind for this and hope proceeds from the sale of the book will help further the work of Congress 60. And I agree that co-authorship will be a way to show that our friendship and collaborations transcend the tensions between our two countries—tensions that we hope will be replaced in the future by bonds of respect and cooperation.

I appreciate your updates on your DST method research. It all sounds quite promising. I am unclear why the researchers in the United States have not conducted research on the use of OT in the treatment of addiction and other health conditions.

Thank you for sharing your views on the use of marijuana in medicine. It’s use in medicine here in the U.S. is increasing considerably as are proposal to legalize marijuana for recreational use. Much of the latter is motivated by the potential tax dollars that could be provided to states and local governments.

I share your view that some people may achieve stable recovery with the DST method alone but that most benefit greatly from the larger recovery supports provided within Congress 60. To me, the great genius of Congress 60 its integration of an effective reparative medication for the first year of recovery with a larger reconstruction of personal identity, personal values, and personal relationships. Combining those addresses the physical, psychological, relational, and spiritual (worldview, life meaning and purpose) complexities within the recovery process.

I look forward to future photos of the construction progress on the University.
