سرعت پیشرفت کتاب بیش از چیزی است که فکر میکردیم. تفکراتتان درباره موضوعات ارسالی را به پیش‌نویس کتاب اضافه کردم، موضوعات دیگر را نیز وقتی احسان ترجمه و ارسال کند اضافه خواهم نمود. سری اولی که برای من ارسال شده است دقیقا همان چیزی است که فکر میکردم و برای کتاب فوق العاده است.
مطالب، خلاصه بودن آنها و مربوط بودن آنها به سبک کلی کتاب را دوست داشتم. درباره معارفه، به انتخاب شماست و میتوانیم آنرا در آخر کار و قبل از منتشر کردن کتاب اضافه کنیم و میتواند پیامی باشد که شما میخواهید در کنار پیشگفتاری که من نوشته ام در کتاب باشد. میتوانیم این موضوع را بعد از اینکه کتاب به مرحله آخر رسید تصمیم گیری کنیم.
به محض تمام شدن پیش‌نویس اول، میتوانیم آنرا بازبینی کنیم تا مطالب تکراری را حذف کنیم و موضوعات دیگری که فکر میکنیم باید در کتاب باشد را اضافه کنیم. میتوانیم آنقدر زمان بگذاریم تا مطمئن شویم شما نسخه پایانی کتاب را کاملا می‌پسندید.

I am delighted to receive news that you are fine and to receive greetings from your family.
Progress on the latest book is proceeding faster than we could have anticipated. The additional topics you added reflections on have now been added to the draft of the book and I will add your writings on the other topics as they are translated by Ehsan and sent to me. The first round of additions are exactly what I had hoped for and make wonderful additions to the book. I liked their content and their brief length will fit in well with the rest of the book. As for the introduction, that is optional and something we would include at the end before publication only if there is a welcoming message other than my preface that you would like to add to the book. We can make that decision at the end when the rest of the book is completed. Once we have a completed first draft, we can review it to remove any duplication of content and add any other topics we feel should be included. We can take out time with this process to make sure you are fully pleased with the final version of the book.
I look forward to the article on use of the DST method for treatment of amphetamine disorders. That is also one that we should add to your posted papers on my website as improving the quality of methamphetamine treatment is of great concern in the U.S. and other countries.
Do keep me informed on the research with Bristol University. With the encounters with cancer in my own life and within my family, I am highly interested in this research.
I recently spoke with Dr. George Kolodner and wanted to let you know that his work on smoking cessation is going very well and that he speaks warmly of the assistance you offered him through your communications. He is now chairing and important committee on nicotine addiction for the American Society of Addiction Medicine and is also preparing manuscripts on this work for publication in psychiatric journals.
I look forward to the next topics that Ehsan will be translating and that you will be forwarding to me.
