از ارتباط اخیرتان بسیار سپاسگزارم. پاکسازی پس از طوفان با سرعت پیش می‌رود و زندگی در جامعه مارینا کم‌کم به حالت عادی بازمی‌گردد. دما و رطوبت کاهش یافته و ما اولین نشانه‌های هوای پاییزی را حس می‌کنیم. گرچه طوفان‌هایی که گاهی در فلوریدا تجربه می‌کنیم باعث خسارت می‌شوند، مردم در جوامع آسیب‌دیده معمولاً با هم متحد می‌شوند تا آنچه ویران شده را بازسازی کنند و از دل ویرانی‌ها دوباره زندگی نو زاده شود. برخی از تعمیرات مربوط به طوفان دو سال پیش تازه به اتمام رسیده‌اند و حالا باید به تعمیر آسیب‌های طوفان اخیر بپردازیم. ممکن است سال‌ها طوفانی نداشته باشیم، اما سرعت و شدت این طوفان‌ها به دلیل تغییرات اقلیمی افزایش یافته است.
امسال نیاز به کمک من برای پاکسازی کمتر از سال‌های گذشته بود، بنابراین مشتاقم که به چند پروژه مرتبط با ریکاوری بازگردم، از جمله آخرین همکاری‌مان. این هفته با همکارانم در "چستنات" در مورد پیشرفت‌های مربوط به جمع‌آوری و تحلیل داده‌ها گفت‌وگو خواهم کرد.
تصحیح این تعداد زیاد برگه امتحانی واقعاً چالش‌برانگیز است و من به سهم نمره‌هایی که برای فعالیت‌های خدماتی در نظر گرفته‌اید علاقه‌مندم. قبلاً در مورد نقش‌های راهنمایی مختلف صحبت‌های زیادی داشته‌ایم، اما این اولین باری است که به نقش‌هایی همچون نگهبان جلسات، دبیران، هماهنگ‌کنندگان ورزش‌ها، مدیریت وب‌سایت، اینستاگرام، بخش OT، فالوپ و سایر حوزه‌ها اشاره می‌کنید. آیا می‌توانید به‌طور خلاصه این نقش‌های خدماتی را توضیح دهید؟ شاید بخواهم این موارد را در مقاله جدیدمان ذکر کنم، زیرا خدمت به دیگران بخش کلیدی از فرهنگ بهبود در "کنگره ۶۰" است.
همان‌طور که احتمالاً قبلاً گفته‌ام، در سال‌های اخیر کتابخانه شخصی و وب‌سایتم را به "چستنات" منتقل کردم تا همه این منابع برای نسل‌های آینده در دسترس باشد. این کتابخانه (که اکنون بایگانی شده) و وب‌سایت شامل تمام اطلاعاتی است که طی سال‌های همکاری‌مان درباره "کنگره ۶۰" جمع‌آوری کرده‌ام، به‌علاوه نسخه‌های ترجمه‌شده از بسیاری از نوشته‌های شما به زبان انگلیسی. این امر تضمین می‌کند که این نوشته‌ها و مقالات و کتاب‌های مرتبط در سال‌های آینده در دسترس مخاطبان بین‌المللی قرار گیرند. این بخشی از میراثی خواهد بود که از اولین دیدارمان در لندن، سال‌ها پیش، برای آینده به جا خواهیم گذاشت.

Dear Hossein,
Thank you for your most recent communication. Clean-up from the hurricane is proceeding rapidly and life here at the marina community is slowly returning to normal. The temperatures and humidity have lowered and we are feeling the first hints of Fall weather. Even though the storms we sometimes faced here in Florida bring damage, people in the affected communities seem to rally together to rebuild what has been destroyed and the new again rises from what once was. Some of the repairs from the hurricane we experienced two years ago are just being completed and will be replaced by efforts to repair damage from this most recent one. We can go years without being affected by such storms, but the pace and intensity of these have increased due to climate change.
Demands for my time assisting with the clean-up were less this year than in earlier hurricanes, so I am looking forward to getting back to several recovery-related projects, including our latest collaboration. I will check in with my colleagues at Chestnut this week on progress being made with the data collection and analysis.
I can’t imagine the challenge of correcting so many exam papers. I am interested in the points allocated for service activities. We have talked a great deal in the past about the various guide roles, but this is the first time you have mentioned such roles as session guards, secretaries, border sport coordinators, website management, Instagram, the OT section, follow-ups, and other areas. Could you briefly describe these other service roles? I may want to mention those in our latest paper since service to others is such a key part of the recovery culture of Congress 60.
I may have mentioned before that I transferred my personal library and website to Chestnut in recent years so that all of these resources would be available to future generations. The library (now archives) and website includes all of the information I have collected on Congress 60 over the years of our collaboration plus copies of your numerous writings that have been translated into English. This will assure that these writings and related articles and books will be available to international audiences in the years to come. That will be part of the legacy we will leave to the future that grew from our first meeting in London so many years ago.
