وضعیت کوئید۱۹ در آمریکا بدتر میشود و دیروز بیش از ۲۰۰ هزار ابتلای جدید گزارش شده است و موارد ابتلای روزانه در فلوریدا رقمی میان ۷ تا ۱۰ هزار مورد است.

بستری و مرگ مربوط به کوئید نیز طبیعتا افزایش داشته است. واکسن جدید به زودی در دسترس قرار خواهد گرفت اما مشخص نیست که سرعت دسترسی بیشتر جمعیت به این واکسن چقدر خواهد بود.

در این میان ما همچنان از ماسک استفاده میکنیم و انزوای اجتماعی را تا جایی که میتوانیم رعایت میکنیم، اما هنوز افراد زیادی هستند که این موارد را رعایت نمیکنند که باعث شده است خیلی ها را در خطر قرار دهند. رهبری ضعیف ملی و ایالتی نقش مهمی در این عدم رعایت ها بازی کرده است.

موافقم که این مسئله بخاطر ضعیف شدن سیستم ایکس است و همچنین این مسئله که بسیاری از افراد در ریکاوری همچنان به مصرف سیگار ادامه می دهند و از بیماری های مربوط به نیکوتین رنج‌میکشند. قدم هایی که شما برای بازگرداندن این افزایش برداشته اید استثنایی است.

به نظرم بسیاری از اعضای کنگره ۶۰ که سیگار کشیدن را با متد DST کنار گذاشته اند؛ اکنون وضعیت سلامتی بهتری دارند و طول عمر بیشتری خواهند داشت.

این یک فرصتی است که حداقل حال و احوالی با خانواده داشته باشیم تا دوباره فرصت ملاقات رودررو فراهم شود.

منتظر پیشنهادات شما از دیگر شاعران فارسی زبان هستم. ویدئوهای بیشتری درباره تاریخ پرشیا دیده ام و آنها اطلاعات بسیار خوبی به من داده اند.

قبلا گفته بودم که با دخترم آلیشا روی تعدادی بلاگ و کتابهای کمیک(تصویری) و رمان های گرافیکی درباره اعتیاد و ریکاوری از اعتیاد همکاری میکنم.

این مجموعه بلاگ ها کامل شده است و در اواخر دسامبر و اوایل ژانویه پست خواهد شد. کار کردن روی این مجموعه با دخترم خیلی لذت بخش بود. ما هر دو نعمت همکاری با فرزندانمان را داشته ایم.

The COVID-19 situation in the United States continues to worsen with more than 200,000 new cases reported yesterday and daily new cases reported in Florida ranging from 7,000 to 10,000. COVID-related hospitalizations and deaths are rising in tandem with those numbers. New COVID vaccines will be available soon but it is unclear how quickly most of the population here will have access to them. In the meantime, We continue wearing masks and socially isolating as much as possible, but there are still many people who ignore such practices, which put many at risk. Weak national and state leadership have contributed to poor compliance with these measures.

You are to be commended for how well Congress 60 has responded to the threat of COVID-19. This is a remarkable achievement that should be widely emulated. I am sorry to hear that due to restrictions your sports activities are on hold. I know many will welcome the day of their return.

You noted in your last email that people with a history of addiction are not just more vulnerable to COVID but to a whole host of other medical conditions as well. I would agree that this is due to weakened X system and fact that many people recovering from other addictions continue to be addicted to nicotine and suffer from nicotine-related illnesses. The steps you have taken in Congress 60 to reverse this trend are remarkable. I suspect that many Congress 60 members who quit smoking with the aid of the DST method now experience improved health and will achieve a greater life expectancy.      

My deepest congratulations on the 23^rd anniversary of your addiction redemption and the 10^th anniversary of your smoking cessation. The fruits of your recovery are spreading throughout the world. You have transformed your personal story into a social movement that has brought recovery to tens of thousands of individuals and families. The milestone of creating a university focused on addiction and recovery studies is a remarkable achievement.

Your desire to start branches of Congress 60 in other countries is also a noble vision. We should speak more of this and how this could best be achieved—the opportunities that might be available to facilitate this and the kind of obstacles that might be encountered that will need to be addressed.

As the Christmas holiday approaches, my family is exploring how we can spend time together given the travel restrictions. We are planning on an online gathering of all my sisters and nieces and nephews and their families. That will at least provide us an opportunity to catch up on family news and renew out ties until we can meet again face-to-face.

I look forward to your suggestion of other Persian poets. I have been watching more online videos on the history of Persia and am finding them quite informative.

I mentioned to you earlier that I was collaborating with my daughter Alisha on a series of blogs on the portrayal of addiction and recovery in American comic books and graphic novels. That blog series is now completed and will be posted late December through January. It was such a joy to work with her on this series. You and I have both been blessed with such collaborations with our children.
