Communications of Hossein and Bill (Reply to Bill - May 27, 2019)
May 27,2019

Dear Bill,

I hope you are fine, I am well.

I am happy that you had a great trip with family members. One of the greatest sicknesses of our time is loneliness. The rapid growth of technology took its toll on us.
If you recall when we were little kids and electricity was just discovered to light the houses, it killed some people since they were not completely familiar with it at the time being.
Today rapid growth of technology resulted in loneliness and also variety of narcotics.

Today is the 20th day of Ramadan, and I have lost about 5 kilo of my extra weight. I feel better and hopefully I will find a method to lose extra weight just like addiction treatment and smoking cessation.
“ A window to the sky” is a funny play which is about worldview. This play presents a live TV show in which a philosophy expert and the host of the show are speaking about true nature of human beings. The philosophy master is speaking so complicated that even he has no idea what he is talking about.
During the show audiences are allowed to call and ask questions. The presented questions are also complicated and meaningless!

In fact this play tries to suggest that if you are willing to educate others how to live their lives or how to think you must use simple words. You should not use sophisticated words as a show off!
I am sorry to hear about the 70000 overdoses in the U.S.

This number arises concerns, and I believe it indicates that drug abusers are not familiar with drug using! Or they don’t know how to use drugs! And the physicians don’t know how to teach not to use!
I believe we must educate how to use drugs in order to curb overdoses.
Perhaps my words are too extreme to be accepted. To withdraw or to use short term treatments are not the answer.

What we are doing within Congress 60 is that we first teach our members how to use Opium tincture and then the traveller receives a large amount of OT.
In our 20 years of experience not even one overdose with OT is reported. You know why? Because we teach them how to use!
I am delighted that you have completed your article comparing NA in Iran and the U.S.
I would love to have a copy once it is published.

You mentioned that media in the U.S. is presenting a monsterous image of addiction. In Iran like 20 years ago we had the same issue and also drug abusers used to be sent to jails. Nowadays we are seeing a more reasonable T.V programs. Few days ago I was invited to a T.V show and I talked about some addiction facts.
I always include you in my prayers. Have an enjoyable spring and summer.
By the way, thank you for the beautiful photo. I enjoyed it a lot.

I am asking Ehsan to include some photos of Ramadan for you.

Brothers and friends on heaven and earth
Hossein
