Companion’s Week: Appreciation of Companions in Congress60

The second   session of the 68^th  round of the Academy Branch Workshops was held on January   8^th   2020 at 9. This meeting was held by Mr. Dezhakam as the master of ceremony and traveler Mahdi as the secretary. The weekly agenda was: “Companion’s Week: Appreciation of Companions in Congress60”.

Mr. Dezhakam’s speech: Hello  friends, I am Hossein a traveler. Hope you are keeping well and I am fine too. Today is Wednesday, January   8^th   2020. In many areas we had lots of snow and rain and we have just passed 2019 in which we had 5050 people liberated from addiction in Congress60. Having 80 branches of Congress60 and after 20 years of education, just now we have broken the record of 5000 liberations, I am surprised how some organizations or NGOs claim that they have annually liberated 400000 individuals from addiction, in this way, within few years all the addicts across the country can be liberated from addiction.

Liberation from nicotine was 1097 individuals within 2019 and during three months 556 companions have entered their Second Travel (by writing 40 Congress60 educational CDs).

This week is Companion’s week, wholeheartedly and sincerely I congratulate dear companions this week.  The presence of Companions in Congress60 is God’s favour and invaluable. Congress60 without companions is like a garden without trees or turns into a dry land and intolerable situation! The presence of companions changes the atmosphere to  a more disciplined situation, triggers more courtesy and most important is that we harmoniously go ahead [companions progress along with their travelers]. When a person is liberated from addiction in Congress60, their wisdom improves and consequently, their family’s wisdom will increase. If a companion and a traveler are different from each other in terms of their wisdom and knowledge,  many problems arise in the family. I enjoy watching many many families playing sports in Taleqani Park, the traveler goes to play among other travelers, their companions (their wives or mothers) go to play their own sports and their children do their own play.

Fortunately, in Congress60, travelers have reached a culture that they know how to speak with companions, they know how to respect them, they have to learn this.

Companions are really a wing for fly, in Congress60 we are not treating drugs, we are living a [good] life. Therefore, companions services are very valuable to us and after 20 years they have reached maturity to do their own affairs, issued all certificates and all the responsibility is on their own shoulders. Twenty companions are now working in  building No. 20 [the building of Congress60] and their exam papers, certificates, and files are in their own hand [they are fully responsible for their own affairs].

In all branches, the companion’s week will be celebrated next Thursday, in Tehran it will be on Saturday. The only gift given by the travelers to their companions is either money or gold. Flowers and sweets are not acceptable.

All travelers must support companions. One male traveler must be present in all private companions meetings so that if a problem occurs, they can help the companions.

Companions exam must be administered by themselves, therefore, all the practice exams must be separately administered.

The agents or assistants are not the executive power of Congress60, they are all considered as the guides for the border-guards, new comers’ guides and guides. When we select a person as a Dideban’s (Watcher’s) deputy, they are not inspectors, their work must be carried out without domination and force, this must be done through respect and courtesy.
