The book: “Crossing the Zone of Minus 60̊ c": A Combination of Text, Images, and Music”

The book: “Crossing the Zone of Minus 60̊ c

The ninth session of the fourth round of  Congress 60 workshops in Takhte-Jamshid branch of Congress 60 was administered on June 14th , 2021 at 5 p.m. by the guest speaker, Ms. Farnaz, Ms.   Razie  as the guest speaker and companion Mahboobe  as the secretary. The agenda was the book “Crossing the Zone of Minus 60 degrees Centigrade and its Images”.

Today’s agenda is the book “Crossing the Zone of Minus 60 degrees Centigrade and its Images”. This book reveals the problem of addiction and how to treat addiction.

This book is Congress 60’s most significant and the greatest educational reference. There are other educational pamphlets and books as well as CDs; however, the mother of all [the most important one] is this book. This book enjoys having three dimensions together: its text, images and music.

Images are very critical to learning and helps the readers understand the book. This book has 14 images which convey different stages of addiction treatment travel and ends with the last image indicating that the person has finished his travel in the zone of minus 60 degrees centigrade.

Three themes are implied in this book: crossing the frost, rotten trees, and the internal battle. This book indicates how to travel (to treat addiction) using both text and image.

Reading this book, we realize that addiction does not merely involve the body, addiction affects the psyche and worldview as well. The book includes 14 valleys which reveal how our thoughts and contemplation must be. Using the images, we can understand where we stand. These images indicate our current status of body and psyche.  For instance, the first image tells us that if you decide to treat your addiction quickly and hurriedly, you will fall to the bottom of the valley.

This book has been written in a way that it can communicate with both drug-abusers and non-drug-abusers. All the people of the society can read this book and interact with it easily, because it is simply written and states the difficulties of an addict’s life.
