I am so pleased that the your 21st and 6th anniversary celebrations were a pleasant surprise to you. It was a great honor for me to contribute my warm sentiments for the occasion and to have them read by Dr. Parviz Afshar.
Your successful Golrizan this year is quite a remarkable achievement—a testimony to the strength of the Congress 60 community and your sustainability for the future. What an awe-inspiring journey Congress 60 has made as a community of recovering people. What better evidence exists that recovery is a reality and that it can transform individuals, families, and communities. Having been blessed by the miracle of recovery, we must extend this blessing to the darkest corners of the addiction world.
As requested, I have sent a few photos of myself that I hope will serve your purpose. Hopefully one of these images will be suitable; I do not have many recent photos of myself. I am so honored to receive this request from the artist within Congress 60.
I am currently working on a review of research on adolescents who develop addiction and treatment approaches for addicted adolescents. What is the youngest age of people you have had treated with the DST method for addiction in Congress 60. Is adolescent addiction a major problem in Iran as it is in the U.S.? I would be interested if there are any special procedures used with your youngest members of Congress 60.
Our annual Christmas and New Year’s holidays are approaching. It is for me a time of gratitude for all the blessings recovery has brought into my life and all the people who have warmed my heart over these many years. Our friendship is one blessing for which I am continually grateful. This year will be a quiet time for Rita and I as we are remaining here in Florida. We will see many family members that live close by, but will not see our family members who live in Northern United States until this Spring. That is best as there are major snow storms recently that make travel to the North difficult. I hope the end of 2018 brings great joy to your heart and to all members of Congress 60.
