Communications of Hossein and Bill (Reply to Hossein - Jul 25, 2018)

Jul 25, 2018

Dear Hossein,

I suspected that the video you shared was produced by your daughter Shani and was delighted to know that Amin was playing the clarinet.  Congress 60 is such a family affair. I can’t recall if I shared with you that my daughter Alisha recently was awarded permanent tenure as a professor at Western Illinois University and that she and her husband then bought a home in Macomb where the University is located.  It warms my heart to see her settled into a healthy family and professional life.
I also enjoyed the photos of the minister’s visit to Congress 60. I wish everyone in the world, particularly its leaders, could visit Congress 60 to witness the reality of long-term personal and family recovery and the nature of a vibrant recovery community.
As an update to our recent conversations, another person has expressed interest in joining the informal group of research scientists interesting in possible future collaborations with Congress 60. His name is Dr. Marc Galanter, a leading addiction psychiatrist in the U.S., who I am currently working with on his comparative study of NA in the U.S. and Iran.  Dr. Galanter will be a valuable addition to our group.  He has attended professional meetings in Iran and hopes to visit Congress 60 during one of his future trips.
Please enjoy a most well-deserved rest at your farm during the summer holidays.  Rita and I are planning a trip in September to visit family and friends in the northern part of the United States—two days drive from where we live in Florida. We still have family living in the north and it is always good to visit them.

Friends and Brothers Forever,
Bill
