It is always a pleasure to hear from you. Rita thanks you for the saffron and is exploring some new recipes in which she can use it. And family and friends have enjoyed the candy treats you recently sent.
The university research on the effects of the DST method with bus drivers in recovery from meth addiction is most welcomed. I agree that the three month time period would be ideally extended for much longer, but I look forward to the published results of this study. Your openness to involve university researchers like Dr. Masoud Haj Rasouli in studies of Congress 60 is to be commended.
My teleconference with Dr. Richard Rawson and Dr. Hamed Ekhtiari is scheduled for this Wednesday in which we will brainstorm ideas about how we may best support the research ideas you and I have been discussing. I will let you know how the meeting goes and any ideas we develop that have promise.
Congratulations on your rugby captain’s nomination to serve as coach of Iran’s national rugby team. That is a wonderful honor and evidence again of the power of Congress 60 to transform lives.
I continue to write my weekly recovery blog, but have tried to slow my involvement in other projects this summer to have more family time. Rita and I are hoping to visit our daughter later this summer if at all possible. It is a two-day drive from Florida but a good time of the year for such travel. Please extend my warm regards to your family.

Dear Hossein,
I wanted to provide a brief update on the meeting today with Dr. Rick Rawson and Dr. Hamed Ekhtiari about how best to increase international research on the methods used in Congress 60. The meeting went very well as both were quite interested in supporting this goal. We discussed the history of Congress 60, various areas of potential research, potential funding sources to support the research, potential international collaborators, and how obstacles to international collaboration might be overcome. We each took on some assignments to gather information and plan to meet again soon. I will keep you posted on our continued discussions.
