Your response about the research was a delight. Hopefully in this year we will be able to register the research center of Congress 60 together.
Dear Bill, after 20 years of drug abuse plus 20 years of addiction treatment experience I have come to this conclusion that all the treatment models of the world ( medical, non-medical, with or without medication, religious or non-religious, NA and AA) fall into same category. Because all of these models are following the same rule.
For instance: craving do exist in all of them, they are told to keep away from addicts, most of them are suffering from sexual disorders, they are encouraged to keep away from places that they used to do drugs in them, most of them fail to forget narcotics or alcohols, most of them are constantly fighting to stay away from doing drugs and, alot of other things that are common among all these models.
All in all addiction is incurable according to them.
As you are aware another point of view emerged from middle of darkness against the previously mentioned idea about addiction.
This new model which is the X theory or the DST method doesn't believe in craving.
We do believe that craving is the result of a physical need. If we overcome this need of the body then the craving will disappear.
Those who used to ingest OT for treatment purpose are now disseminating OT in clinics as our representatives. In DST method it is told that travelers can live under one roof with drug abusers. Our travelers doesn't suffer from sexual disorders. In DST method people are told they can go to places that they have memories of doing drugs in them.
In DST method people mostly forget that they were drug abusers one day. When they want to declare the duration of their sobriety they must count the years. We are not fighting to keep away from drugs. We don't love nor we hate narcotics. In DST method we do believe that addiction is completely curable.
Perhaps these few lines have been mentioned before in our communications but I have mentioned them again to put the issue into perspective. We have a hard job to do. We must show the truth about addiction treatment to millions that are struggling with narcotics today.
We can show everyone that it is hard but not impossible. Thus, we must register a research center. All of your suggestions are valuable and, I am prepared to pursue all of them under your guidance.
Since we believe that addiction and many other diseases are created of the lack of balance in the X system and the DST method with OT can fix this problem and, the X system is related to brain so the phd students that they want to help us must have studied brain. We can utilize CTscan or blood tests before and after treatment or gene testing. We can take benefit of psychology and recovery phd students.
Dear friend, an idea just flitted through my mind, if you are agreed we can conduct a research to determine the percentage of NA members who are being treated within Congress 60. Or we can ask former NA members who has fulfilled their treatment in Congress 60 to express their physical and psychological status.
If Chestnut research center is willing to help us that would be such a delight.
