Literacy in Terms of Cognizance (Awareness)

Literacy in Terms of Cognizance (Awareness)

In my view, everything depends on what we have learned. Through learning in Congress6060 I have found out literacy is different from cognizance. It should not bring us superiority complex and prevent us from learning.

I have known Congress6060 the best university. It is because through Congress60 I have been able to take advantage from the individual's experiences and I have been able to see my problems better and make a move to solve them. The one who leads a monotonous life and their days are like one another is the loser. How beautiful is understanding the concept of this statement, meaning that the attempt to change position is not possible except for those who are capable of it, those who have firm steps and strong arms, those who have strong desires to reach tomorrow, days after tomorrow and every dawn.  An Iranian poem reads: the competent is the one who is cognizant. Recognizing the nature of desires is considered as the power of cognizance.

The human being is basically known through his desires. Everyone's position is determined by their own Self. We know that Self has colorful desires. The self itself at any stage [being whether at the lowest  self (the Carnal self) stage, middle self(the Blaming Self) or the highest Self ( the Reassured self) is directly related to individual's knowledge and whether the human has a calm and safe heart,  peace of mind or whether how constructive or destructive they are; all depend on his cognizance. This cognizance is different from literacy.

A human who has the desire can grow and flow to the initial point from which they have diverged providing that they do refine their desires. To reach to this level of purity, we have to be educated and attain cognizance.

Regarding literacy, we know that there have been so many educated people so far whose knowledge not only has not served humans, but also it has been a great hindrance to science and human community. Literacy can only open the window of light in front of us and make it possible to understand through this window.

The way we look out of the window and what we create depend on our vision and human intellect. So not every literate person is cognizant.

But every cognizant person can be literate or illiterate. What matters most is the person's valuable thought or human intellect that make them approach to themselves, creatures and God.

Cognizance (awareness), effective cognizance and literacy have three separate definitions, although they may seem to be the same. There is a huge gap between cognizance  [awareness alone: just knowing] and implementing cognizance. Is our position the same in both cognizance and effective cognizance?

It needs much knowldge and much study to know what literacy really means. Through this weekly agenda I have been able to separate these three and find out the real concept of them.

I hope we all can find the best way in our lives by taking more advantage of Congress60 education programs, achieving cognizance and implementing it.
