Communications of Hossein and Bill (Reply to Hossein - Nov 27, 2017)

Dear Hossein

Thank you for your latest response to my questions.  Alisha and her husband are here visiting for a week and I will send you addiction questions as soon as they return to their home in Illinois.

Yes, the photos you provided of the William White Legions will be perfect to include in the blog I have completed on smoking cessation within Congress 60.  I hope to post that blog in the next month and will let you know when it is on my website and announced through social media.
The news of your latest research project is most welcomed.  The retention study will be an important milestone in the history of Congress 60.  Are you working with scientists from one of your universities on this study? Retention in treatment is such a critical predictor of treatment outcome as it determines whether each individual receives adequate time for healing of the body and mind and time to rebuild one’s life in the community.  Isolating factors linked to retention and premature dropout will be of great benefit to Congress 60 and the larger world of addiction treatment.  Do keep me posted on your progress with this study.  I will look forward to your major findings.
I had hoped by now that the copy of my book would have arrived to you that I has resent to you after the first failed attempt. I received a notice from the Post Office on Saturday while I was away from my home of an effort to deliver a package.  I am hoping it is not a return of the book I sent you.  I will go to the Post Office on Monday to see and will keep you posted.  Do let me know if your book arrives.  If there is no way to get a hard copy to you, I will email you a PDF of the book.
This past week is our Thanksgiving holiday here in the United States.  As I try to do each year, I want to thank you for our continued friendship and collaborations over  this past year.  I feel like we are two aging warriors who have battled addiction together and who have forged a vison of healed individuals, families, and communities.  When my time comes to leave this world, I will do so knowing you and I stood together in this effort and did all that we could.

Friends and Brothers Forever,
Bill

Dear Hossein,

I just returned from the post office and as I feared, the package awaiting me was the return of the book I had resent you after it would not clear U.S. customs the first time I had sent it.  The book was rejected again for reasons I have yet to determine.  I have phone calls in to try to clarify all of this and hope to get it resolved so I can resend the book to you.  If I cannot get this resolved I will send you a PDF of the book.
I am embarrassed and very upset about this delay.  Please accept my apology for not being able to get you a signed  copy in a timely manner. I was so looking forward to you receiving it.

Friends and Brothers Forever,
Bill
