The seventh session of 59th round of the Academy Branch Workshops was held on 21 June, 2017 at 15:45 p.m., this meeting was held by Mr. Amin as the master of ceremony and Mrs. Zahra as the secretary and the weekly agenda was "Capacity, responsibility and missing the qiblah (the direction)"
Mr. Amin: Hello friends, I am Amin, a traveler. We are spending the last days of Ramadan. It is both somehow difficult and easy. Some of us may have lost our tolerance to fasting; however, our strength has increased. The important point is that we should not overload ourselves. For instance, last week 100 members of Congress60 participated in the irrigation of the trees planted (on the Arbor day in Tallo Park). The first thing mentioned was to work according your ability and not to overload yourselves, because if you overload yourself, you may not enjoy your work.
If you want to work according to your ability, you have to have much knowledge. If we have not this knowledge, we cannot enter the ninth valley. When a person wants to apply the ninth valley, they have to know their basic ability. If you see some people do not enter Congress60 or they do not reach the liberation point, because they do not get this point.
A person may overload themselves only because they do not want to seem lazy. They cannot find their start point that is why all of their attempts are futile and they become disappointed eventually. This is one of the lessons of Ramadan.
Todays' agenda is "Capacity, responsibility and missing qiblah (the direction)", about which you can find information in the same CDs by Mater Dezhakam. In the previous session, we talked about "art". We mentioned that if we have accurate definitions (of something), we can construct a 1000-meter-high building.
The greatest scientist of ancient era, Archimedes, once said give me leverage and support, I will lift the earth. The same thing was done by Master Dezhakam with an accurate definition (for addiction). Addiction as a disease, which has paralyzed the world, was cured using an accurate definition. In any issue, we have to learn the related definitions. The more accurate and purer the definitions, the stronger the leverage will be. It may take 1000 years to find accurate definitions for an issue. Since human beings could find accurate definitions for mathematics and other sciences, they reached great achievements. They could find many concepts only because they were in front of their eyes (they were obvious). The triangle is just here in front of our eyes, therefore, we can easily depict it. That is why in some sciences they could find the definitions more easily than other sciences like psychology. In human sciences, you have conceptual parameters. It means that when you say " flower or tree", you have a clear image of them in your mind; however, when you say "beauty", everyone has their own definition for that. Its obvious example is that when the crow was asked to find the most beautiful animal, it brought its own baby bird; however, we all know the baby crow is the ugliest bird.
Some of definitions are not obvious, they are hidden; therefore, their finding is difficult. Congress60 tried to define these hidden concepts; as a result, many of the unknown issues are known and soluble now. When we can find quite accurate definitions for something, we can find out the solution.
In the previous session, we realized that "art" is a truth which has been used to promote human beings. Art is given to a person with the command of the Lord. It is not the case that as one wakes up in the morning, they make a piece of music which impacts on many people (in the world). Many things must take place (inside the person) and a command must be issued so that a person can do that. Because the truth is somewhere and the person must only find it. In holy Quran, it is mentioned that if all trees become pens and sea waters become ink, before the Lord's words finish, pens and ink come to an end. What are these words? They are arts, sciences and everything in our life; they are all the Lord's words. If they are the truth, thy must exist before and continue from now on. Who has created them? The one who has created everything has created them. Therefore, when a poem, a symphony or a formula is written, all are words given by God to the human beings.
I want to speak about another topic, technology. An unpleasant scene is viewed when you go to a party, you tell a joke and no one hears and responds. If you see them carefully, you see some breathing bodies with open eyes; however, they are not there, (only their bodies are there, while their soul is somewhere else). Adults are amused by television, teenagers and youth are amused by mobile phones, children are amused by their tablets and the experts are amused by their laptops and computers. Only the newborn and mad are not placed in this category. This is common all over the world. I was one of the people who used the technology late. In the university, I was the last person who learned how to use computers. I had an outdated mobile phone, which I loved a lot. It sufficed to do my affairs for a long time. Smartphones came to market and I had enough money to buy one, but I had not any motivation to do that. Eventually, master Dezhakam surprised me in my birthday with giving me a smartphone. You see many people who get stressed as they take a smartphone, they fear something bad may happen. I could communicate with my smartphone and did lots of work including filming, taking pictures, preparing reports and writing. Its internet was connected and I could find articles and educational materials.
Last year, we could check the members' registration bills for the summer camp through Telegram. It made our work very easy. Then, to make connections among the Didebans (watchers), we used Telegram to inform them of the sessions and other issues. I was wrong not to use the technology. However, we must know how much we can to use this technology. I watched a film saying that when you are using Telegram, you must do some exercises. Why should we do them? We look at the screen for hours and our eyes hurt.
Human system can be affected by thoughts and drugs. Drugs include addictive and medicinal substances. Don't thoughts affect our system? Aren't images and networks included in thoughts? Why do terrorists share their massacre on the net? Because, as we see their films, they get stronger. Therefore, when they share their mass murder images and films, we should avoid watching them, because if we see them, it means that we are confirming them. This results in the destruction of our X system.
Tell me how much time is available to us lots of which is spent surfing the net and telegram. Don't our family, children and wife need us? (should not we spend time with them?) spending much time on the net brings destruction. Therefore, we should see everything with a deeper sight. We should whatever helps us; however, we should avoid whatever distances us from our family. A person who uses the net a lot becomes dependent to that, and a type of substitution takes place in them, some waves and images become replaced (by the virtual ones) and if the net is disconnected, the person gets upset.
In Congress60, when we go to summer camp, we try to disconnect all of these (connections), because we cannot simultaneously enjoy being in the environment and being in the social network. Please note that drugs are not the only materials which are substituted in our X-system.
An interesting point is that 50 years ago, social rules dominate relationships in the families. It means that children obeyed their parents, because they thought their parents know more. This was the case till some years ago, when computers and mobile applications came through. Since modern knowledge was strange to them, they went further and further away from it, but children could work with this technology to the point that a father was not able to turn a computer on; however, his child could work with that. In this way, parents needed their children's help to take a print with a printer. Therefore, children thought that they were more knowledgeable than their parents, because they could install two softwares or applications; they thought their parents were incapable (of doing many things). The solution to this problem is that parents must learn how to use this technology. All the parents must know computer and they have to have updated knowledge. Imam Ali has mentioned that you must be the child of your era, meaning that you must know and be aware of the knowledge of your own time. I congratulate you on Fitr feat in advance.
Master Dezhakam: Hello friends, I am Hossein, a traveler. I hope you are all fine. This is the last Wednesday of Ramadan. We should give responsibilities to people according to their capacity. Even in the pubs or Irfan (Islamic Misticism), they considered peoples' capacity. If the person has not the required capacity, they will bring destructions (to themselves and others), no matter what their job is, whether they are a simple worker or a president. Even smoking drugs needs capacity. A person may consume a little wine and cries; however, another one may drink a sea of wine and is calm. In the past, a wine butler gave the least to those who were novice and the most to the experienced, who had the most capacity. In Irfan, drinking wine does not mean being drunkard, but having a great capacity. A second traveler may enjoy being good-tempered; however, after being elected as Marzban (guard), they may become bad-tempered. In every matter, we should make the required capacity. We have put filters for thoses who want to serve people as guide. A guide must have enough knowledge and worldview, they must know the technical knowledge of Congress60.
Congress60's members are enjoying more balance (in behavior), because they are trained to get a position, if they do not acquire the required capacity, that position is not given to them. This is the definition of missing the qiblah (the correct direction). It means one misses their goal and destination. Ka'aba is the qiblah for some people; however, for some other, qiblah is money, position and materials.
When a person misses their qiblah, it means that they have not the required capacity. They accept the responsibility of doing something but they do not know what to do next. You can see its examples everywhere in the society. You can see people with no capacity make problem for others and mostly for themselves. If you give a responsibility to a person with less capacity, we will ruin them. We should not waste our energy. We should first train them to get the required capacity and then we should hand the responsibility over to them.
