Communications of Hossein and Bill (Reply to Hossein - Mar 10, 2017)

Mar 10, 2017

Dear Hossein,

I am pleased to see the invitation for additional translators to expand the English section of the Congress 60 website.  On behalf of your English readers, please extend my thanks to the translators who have been working on expanding the English material on the website. I find the articles in the latest headlines very interesting and always appreciate the new photos that are added.

The number of daily hits on the website is outstanding, and it warms my heart to see the growing number of hits from other countries.  I think you will see these continuing to grow and I expect the interest in England and the U.S. will grow through these latest collaborations with Dr. Best and his colleagues.

Work on my website continues to consume a lot of time.  I met with my knew tech person this week about how to work through the delays getting the website platform transition completed, but this is proving to be a very slow and frustrating process. I have about 60 documents waiting to be posted and want to get back to doing my weekly recovery blog.  Patience is not my strongest asset.

I appreciate your thoughts on the differences between Congress 60 and NA in terms of personal expectations and relationships.  This is something I would like to explore more in our continued communications.  I am currently reviewing past studies that have been conducted on NA and when this is complete will give some thought to how we might do some interviews with those NA members being treated in Congress 60.  Here are some questions I have for you to consider within our future communications.

Are individuals deems unsuitable for treatment in Congress 60 referred to NA?

How are Congress 60 members using the DST method received in NA?

In many U.S. NA groups, individuals are not considered drug free until they have ceased all use of addiction-related medications.  Are Congress 60 members attending NA viewed as drug free while they are taking OT as part of their treatment and as long as they are using no other substances?

Are there any formal communications between leaders of Congress 60 and leaders of NA in Iran?

What percentage of individuals who have completed their treatment in Congress 60 participate in NA as a form of continued recovery support?

The above are some of the questions our communications have sparked.  I look forward to our continued learning from each other.

Friends and Brothers Forever,

Bill
