I hope you are fine, I am well.
I am delighted to hear you are checking our website regularly. Our Farsi section is quite active because at least 5 individuals are maintaining it. Plus, all branches of Congress 60 send feeds for them. Whole sections of Farsi page is being renewed daily.
But we lacked manpower for the English section. Now we have announced an invitation in lady-companion section to fix this problem and I think our English section will become a lot better soon.
Few days ago I checked the “Communications of Hossein and Bill” section, sadly it had many issues that we are trying to resolve. Hopefully our English section will be as active as our Farsi section is.
Our website has 35000 hits daily that I believe this statistic is quite remarkable for website of an NGO. In fact, our website is being used by drug abusers, governmental and scientific centers and universities as a reference in Iran.
The number of daily hits is being calculated by another website. About 64 percent of viewers are from Iran, 16 percent from England, 6 percent from Romania, 5.5 percent from Germany, 3.5 percent from U.S. and etc.
Approximately 35 percent of our daily viewers are foreigners. This section has the potential intrinsically to be transferred into an international website with much more hits daily. I appreciate if you could help us with sending some of the papers you have done. (or your colleague papers).
What was interesting in the above mentioned statistics was that after Iran the second rank in our viewers is for England that I have found new friends there now.
Anyway since always there is some posts on our website with your name in it thus Congress 60’s website belongs to you as well.
I think most of the Iranians who are contributed to addiction treatment are familiar with your name and are following our communication section. Hopefully you would help us with passing along your articles to be published on our English section.
One of the prime reasons which makes people to move on from Congress 60 to NA or vice versa is the laws and environment of these NGOs.
Freedom in NA is more than Congress 60. In NA sessions people are free to use any apparel they desire, they can talk with each other and have phone numbers of other members, they are free to go out with each other, they can go to each other houses, they can borrow money from other members, they are free to present sessions whenever they want, they are allowed to do business together, and many other things.
Having these sort of relations with other members is forbidden within Congress 60.
Members must wear clean cloths, they are not allowed to swear or curse, they can’t go to each other houses, making business relations is prohibited and Congress 60 is like a military school.
Our focus is only on addiction treatment and recovery and we are not allowed to engage financial and other matters.
Therefore, some people find environment of Congress 60 suitable while others prefer NA.
Another point is that some of the drug abusers are incapable of withdraw (cold turkey) in this case Congress 60 is better for them. Others might be in a situation in which they must go on a cold-turkey and thus NA is more suitable for them.
Some drug abusers don’t have any place to sleep, in this case Congress 60 can’t garner treatment while NA can provide some supports for them.
I will get more focused on this matter in our future communications. If you could prepare a questionnaire for NA members who are being treated in Congress 60 or vice versa we will be able to shed light on the subject. In this way we can contribute to this subject better.
