Dear Hossein,
It will be one of the great joys of my life to see Recovery Rising translated into Farsi and see it in the hands of members of Congress 60. We are each finding ways to help each other extend our guidance beyond the boundaries of our own countries. That depth of friendship across the boundaries of geographical borders and religious and political belief is desperately needed in our world.
I am amazed by your agricultural activities. I had no idea they were on such a large scale. What a remarkable life you are living. And it sounds like the creativity you brought to development of the DST method continues with your development of D.sap.
This past week has been an emotionally wrenching one for those of us in the U.S. It is hard not to get depressed over the state of our current political affairs and the unprecedented poor quality of our political leadership. I find myself feeling overwhelmed and feeling I should be more politically active to improve these conditions. My wife and I do what we can but have limitations on our financial resources, energy and abilities at our age.
Thank you for permission to share the photos you have sent. I will share some of them this coming week with some of the recovery community organizations in the U.S., who will find them of great interest.
I think I mentioned to you some time ago, that I had started an addiction studies archives that is a repository of books on addiction and all of my writings. The purpose was to have such materials available to future historians and addiction scientists. Have you created such a repository for your writings and the history of Congress 60? If not, I hope that is something you will consider.
