Thank you for the information on the use of buprenorphine in Iran.
This communication will be brief as I have another email I must send you regarding a meeting I had with Dr. David Best from the UK about future research collaborations with Congress 60.
Congratulations on the publication of 14 Articles. It is important that we leave written records of our ideas and experiences to offer what guidance we can to present and future generations.
Thanks also for the information on the musical legion and please extend my best wishes to them. I continue to be in awe of the depth of the culture of recovery within Congress 60 spanning so many areas from sports, music, the arts, theatre, and on and on. My deepest regret is that my health has prevented me from seeing all this first hand.
I have attached two photos from the Multiple Pathways of Recovery Conference held here last October and I will send some additional photos from the conference scheduled in October 2018. The first photo is from a book signing I did at the conference and the second is the question and answer session that Don Coyhis and I did for the conference. Don is leader of a recovery advocacy movement among Native American tribes here in the U.S.
I have some exciting news about my meeting with Dr. Best that I will share in a separate email.

Dear Hossein,
Yesterday, I had the opportunity to meet with Dr. David Best (D.Best@shu.ac.uk)from the UK who we communicated with earlier about possible research collaborations with Congress 60. Dr. Best and I renewed this discussion yesterday, and one idea he had related to the following. At present, Dr. Best is leading international efforts to conduct Life in Recovery surveys in multiple European countries. (Such studies have already been completed in the U.S., Canada, the U.K, and Australia.) We discussed the possibility of conducting such a survey among members of Congress 60 as a way to open Iranian participation in this international effort. I have copied Dr. Best on this email who will provide you with more details about the Life in Recovery survey project and what would be entailed in participation from Congress 60. Dr. Best will respond when he returns to the UK.
I have also copied Drs. Ekhtiari and Dr. Rawson on this email who, as you know, both have a great interest in helping identify future research opportunities involving Congress 60. I am delighted to hear of your recent communications with Dr. Ekhtiari.
