خوشحالم که میشنوم کار شما در کلینیک ها ادغام شده است و نیز اینکه بعضی از افراد حاضر در کلینیک ها در فعالیتهای کنگره ۶۰ حضور پیدا میکنند.
میتوانم روزی را متصور شوم که کنگره ۶۰ نیروی محرکه یک حرکت بزرگتر ریکاوری در ایران شده است و تمامی سازمان های بزرگ در این حرکت حاضر هستند تا ریکاوری از اعتیاد را ارتقا بخشند.
آغاز چنین حرکتی گویا در حال انجام است.
آنی از طریق مطالعاتش میتواند کمک بزرگی به کار ما بنماید. یک مطالعه رسمی درباره تغییرات مغز در اثر استفاده از OT با متد DST میتواند تاریخی باشد. وقتی او آماده شد که چنین مطالعه ای را برنامه ریزی کند، خوشحال خواهم شد که آنی را به تعدادی از دانشمندان آمریکایی معرفی کنم که در این زمینه کار می کنند.
شاید وقت آن رسیده باشد که ارتباطمان با NIDA را تازه کنیم.
در تحیر هستم که دوستی و همکاری هایمان به ۱۰ سالگی رسیده است. گاهی به نظر همین دیروز میرسد که برای بار اول در لندن همدیگر را دیدیم. گاهی دیگر به نظر میرسد که همواره همدیگر را می شناخته ایم. چقدر فوق العاده است که دو روح با خواسته های مشترک میتوانند از موانع زبان، مکان جغرافیایی و سیاست فراتر روند تا در زمین مشترک در کنار هم قرار گیرند. برای من باعث مسرت بوده است که در طی این سالها توانسته ایم ایده ها و تجربیات را با هم به اشتراک بگزاریم و در انتظار ادامه این ارتباطات هستم.
از تعطیلات تابستانی در مزرعه لذت ببر. میدانم که این زمان مناسبی برای لذت بردن و تجدید قوا است. من و ریتا بعد از عروسی دخترمان از تابستانی آرام لذت میبریم و شاید در پاییز به تعطیلات برویم.

Dear Hossein,
I am delighted to hear of the integration of your work within the clinics and that some of those being served by the clinics are participating in Congress 60 activities. I envision a day when Congress 60 will be the driving force behind a larger recovery advocacy movement involving all major organizations dedicating to promoting addiction recovery in Iran. The beginnings of that movement seem to be underway.
Ani could make a great contribution to our work through her studies. A formal study of brain changes using OT with the DST method would be potentially historic. When she is ready to begin planning such a study, I will be happy to introduce her to some American scientists with whom she may wish to consult who are also working in that area. That may be the time for us to renew our communications with the National Institute on Drug Abuse.
I am a bit in awe that our friendship and collaborations have now reached the ten-year mark. Some days, it seems like only yesterday that we first met in London, and at other times it feels like we have always know each other. It is wonderful that such kindred spirits can transcend barriers of language, geography, and politics to stand on common ground. It has been a joy for me to exchange our experiences and ideas over these many years and look forward to our continued communications.
Enjoy your summer holidays at the farm. I know this is a time of great enjoyment and renewal for you. Rita and I are enjoying a quiet summer following my daughter's wedding and look forward to possibly taking a vacation sometime this fall.
