I hope you are fine, I am well.
Yesterday I visited the smoking cessation article on your website, it was fantastic. Your website turned into a scientific source gradually. I am aware that most of addiction treatment scholars of Iran visit your website regularly. Some of them even utilized some sections of the “slaying of the dragon”—which is on the history of addiction treatment in the U.S., within their classes and lectures.
Hopefully with your diligence, smoking cessation will be merged into addiction treatment advocates slowly. Along this road I am staying by your side and am ready to do any necessary actions or researches.
Smoking cessation turned into a serious matter within Congress 60. Members look down to those second travelers who are still smoking cigarettes. As you know, smokers may not receive any position to serve within Congress 60. Each week I can see that at least 20 members graduate of William White legions.
I hope to see the blog on Congress 60 on your website soon. Please do extend my deepest gratitude to Mrs. Rita.

Dear friend, as you are well aware, addiction treatment policies had experienced a lots of ups and downs before. These obstacles are associated with lack of knowledge of dignitaries, drug abusers and experts about addiction.
If we are to stop this kind of problems we must know addiction truly. When a huge rate of addicts believe they must withdraw from addiction suddenly (go on a cold-turkey), what kind of message this action conveys to the dignitaries of this field?
I think the conveyed message is this:
Addiction is not an illness, but a false act associated with behavior and personality, like gambling. Therefore one must withdraw from addiction and avoid other addicts. Thus high rank people of this field would assume that they must use force and punishment to transform addicts into healthy people.
But if we could show them that addiction is an illness and in order to cure it we must abandon the notion of simple causation. Addiction is consisted of three parameters which are body, psyche and worldview or how people think.
Or addiction is a substitution of alcohols and narcotics instead of natural opioids of the body. Or the substitution of distressed psyche instead of a healthy one. Or substitution of wrong thoughts instead of healthy ones.
If we could perform or transfer such knowledge about addiction then no one would claim that addicts must be forced into health. Or as the insane president who ordered to kill addicts in Philippines.
I am certain that this insane person believes that he is doing the right thing because if he knew addiction is an illness he would have never done such a thing.
Yes my dear friend, the problem is that even addicts don’t believe that addiction is an illness! They are in middle of darkness and ignorance truly.
Meanwhile, Ehsan is translating my book, the “14 articles”. I have high hopes that this book will help merging the idea that addiction is an illness into universities and scientific centers.
I think we are required to prove how addiction is an illness and how is the treatment method of it.
Anyway, you can count on me.
And of course it is because of the recovery that we were able to transfer this message that addicts can return to society and even be the best in their tasks.
As I mentioned before on Monday Congress 60 was elected as the best NGO and I received an award. I am sending some related photos.
Fortunately we were able to transfer this message (addiction is a curable illness) to our dignitaries throughout our 20 years of work. Last week two of our ministries invited us to share our thoughts on addiction and its treatment with them, and this is a huge honor for us.
